Even though Furia Powers was considered a champion of law and order in her world, she also fought against the system when she saw it being abused.

But in the world of the City of Heroes, she’s no longer fighting quietly.  She’s standing up for herself when challenged.

So when a teammate is in need of help, and the Paragon Police tell her to stand down, do you really think she would do what they tell her to do?

In Issue #14 of “Furia and the Guardians”, we find out right from the start that she doesn’t.  And the whole city knows!

What happens next?  You’ll just have to wait until March 25th to find out!

The reported return of the Libertarian Avenger has repercussions for both heroes and villains alike.  The corrupt cops in the Paragon City Police Department are looking to shut down the Guardians of the Dawn and neutralize the hero-witness that could expose their whole operation.  But they’re not the only ones looking for TashaTiger now.  Can the heroes protect the cat-girl and unlock the secret of her strange transformations?  Or will they be dragged into a new “Badge War” with the police?

When last we left Furia in the pages of “The Crucible”, she was being taken against her will to the Sirian homeworld for attacking royalty.  Of course, she was defending herself, but that doesn’t matter to the Tut-bots that held her prisoner.

This month’s release of “Furia and the Guardians” will be special in more ways than one.

For starters, following the tradition of releasing issues on the last Friday of the month, Issue #11 will be released on December 25th.  You may recognize the date as being somewhat important for a good portion of the world.  It’s that time when people are gathered around illuminated and decorated trees (that may or may not be made of plastic and wire) and opening up wrapped presents bought by people that went to near-bankruptcy to show their love… and later pondering if they should either re-gift them or sell them online.

It’s the time when there’s really nothing good on TV, and if you’re tired of paying $30 to theaters to watch the new Star Wars movie for the umpteenth time, then this is the perfect time to read online comics.

Having a comic released on Christmas Day also gives us a chance to do a holiday story, which is something we previously were not able to do.  And thanks to some very creative people who brought us Titan Icon (from which we are able to continue our stories in “The City”), we were also able to get access to seasonable content.  Here’s a sample of that content from two years ago thanks to Angelus Animi:

But it’s not all festive this year.  Someone’s acting like a holiday Scrooge, and there’s a good reason why.
